MOGO MOUSE WINS INTERNATIONAL AWARD, COMBINING SUPERIOR FUNCTIONALITY WITH CUTTING-EDGE DESIGN

IDSA cites “aesthetic excellence,” strategic business value

NATICK , MA., July 20, 2007 — Newton Peripherals, the developer of the revolutionary MoGo™ family of products, today announced that its MoGo Mouse™ has been named as one of the best-designed products of the year by the Industrial Designers Society of America.

The MoGo Mouse, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless mouse aimed at mobile professionals who require full functionality in a minimum of space , received a bronze award in the computer equipment category in the group’s International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) competition, co-sponsored by BusinessWeek magazine and the IDSA. Almost 1,700 products were submitted for consideration in this year’s event, across multiple categories. Fewer than five percent of the products received any recognition from the IDEA judges; the MoGo Mouse was one of only 42 products to win a bronze award.

This year’s entries, including the MoGo Mouse, merged aesthetic excellence with strategic business development, according to IDEA jurors. “The products looked very good,” said juror Michael Schrage, one of the world’s leading experts on the economics of innovation. “They showed a healthy interaction between the designer and business interests.”

The IDEA award is the latest award for the MoGo Mouse, the first in a complete line of products including the groundbreaking MoGo Bluetooth^® Adapter and the MoGo Headset™. Earlier this year, the MoGo Mouse received the coveted “Best of CES” award from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), taking first place in the Human Interface Design segment as one of the most innovative and consumer-friendly new Bluetooth-enabled products.

IDSA’s quarterly magazine, Innovation, will publish information on the MoGo Mouse, as well as other Gold, Bronze and Silver winners in its annual Yearbook this fall.
